SPX Express vs xConnectorfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, SPX Express and xConnector offer distinct approaches to Shopify shipping and fulfillment, though one emerges as a far more proven choice. SPX Express aims to simplify fulfillment by offering a streamlined interface within the Shopify admin for creating shipments and printing labels. Its primary selling point is its ease of use with 'seamless', 'simple', and 'smart' order fulfillment. Its weakness is its incredibly low social proof. On the other hand, xConnector positions itself as a comprehensive solution, encompassing shipping label and invoice creation, calculated rates, a return request module, a collect points widget, and even a mobile app for picking and packing. xConnector's key differentiator is its extensive support for local couriers and invoicing services, alongside advanced features like return management and calculated rates.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, xConnector is the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews indicate user satisfaction and reliability. While SPX Express aims for simplicity, its lack of social proof makes it a risky option. xConnector offers a more complete suite of features, including crucial elements like calculated rates, return management, and integration with local couriers, which are essential for scaling businesses. SPX Express might appeal only to very small businesses heavily reliant on SPX's specific delivery network (if applicable) and willing to take a chance on an unproven app.
Common Questions

SPX Express claims to be simpler, focusing on a few clicks for fulfillment. However, simplicity doesn't always equate to better. xConnector, while offering more features, may have a steeper learning curve, but the added functionality is likely worth the effort for many merchants. Further information on SPX Express' ease of use is necessary to make a definitive conclusion.
Which app is better for businesses using local couriers in Europe?

No, based on the provided description, SPX Express does not support invoicing. xConnector integrates with various invoicing services like SmartBill and BillingoHu.
Which app is better for handling returns?
