Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ vs ViNext Upsell, Bundle, Funnelfor Shopify (2026)
Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ and ViNext Upsell, Bundle, Funnel both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) through upsells and cross-sells. However, they differ significantly in their maturity, feature set, and social proof. Squid boasts a more comprehensive offering, including reviews, trust badges, a broader range of upsell opportunities (including post-purchase), customer engagement tools, and social proof through positive ratings and reviews. ViNext, on the other hand, focuses on core upsell and bundle functionalities, seemingly targeting merchants prioritizing a simpler, potentially less feature-rich solution. Squid positions itself as a holistic solution for building trust and maximizing AOV, incorporating social proof and diverse engagement tools. Its target audience likely includes merchants seeking a robust platform for scaling their business and implementing advanced upselling strategies. ViNext appears aimed at smaller businesses or those just starting with upselling, offering a straightforward approach with basic upsell and bundle features. The crucial distinction currently is the absence of any reviews or ratings for ViNext, while Squid has a perfect 5/5 rating based on 11 reviews, implying some established user satisfaction, albeit from a small sample size.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a comprehensive suite of features, including customer reviews, trust badges, and a wider range of upsell opportunities, Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ appears to be the stronger choice, assuming the small sample size of reviews is representative. Its focus on building trust and maximizing AOV through various engagement tools is a compelling proposition. However, the cost of a more comprehensive app should be considered.
ViNext Upsell, Bundle, Funnel might be suitable for merchants seeking a simpler, more streamlined solution focused primarily on cart-based and post-purchase upselling. It could also be a viable option for stores on a tight budget or those just starting with upselling, but the complete lack of reviews or any validation from the merchant community does present a higher risk.
