S:Request a Quote & Hide Price vs Treo · Auction Plusfor Shopify (2026)
S:Request a Quote & Hide Price and Treo · Auction Plus both cater to Shopify merchants looking to enhance pricing strategies, but they approach this with fundamentally different functionalities. S:Request a Quote & Hide Price focuses on allowing customers to request custom quotes for products, giving merchants control over pricing on a case-by-case basis. This is ideal for products with variable costs, bulk orders, or where competitive pricing is crucial. Its strength lies in its comprehensive quote management system, automation features, and customization options through its form builder, suggesting a solution tailored for more complex pricing negotiation needs. Treo · Auction Plus, on the other hand, leans into auction-style selling and "Make an Offer" functionality. It's designed to generate buzz and maximize revenue for unique or high-demand products. While it also offers a 'Make an Offer' feature, it's presented as a 'chat-like negotiation experience', suggesting a less formal and more conversational approach than S:Request a Quote's structured request system. Its key value proposition is driving engagement through competitive bidding and scheduled auctions, targeting merchants interested in building excitement around their products rather than managing individual quotes for potentially everyday items.

Our Verdict
For merchants who require granular control over pricing and need to handle custom quotes for a variety of reasons, S:Request a Quote & Hide Price is the stronger choice. Its extensive features, including automation and form customization, make it a robust solution for managing complex pricing scenarios. The higher rating and significantly more reviews also suggest greater user satisfaction and reliability.
Treo · Auction Plus is better suited for merchants who want to create excitement and maximize revenue for unique or limited-edition products through auctions and a more informal 'Make an Offer' experience. Its automated auction management features are beneficial for merchants seeking a hands-off approach to running auctions. If support is a major concern, the North American-based support offered by Treo might be a deciding factor despite its lower rating and fewer reviews.
