S:Request a Quote & Hide Price focuses on enabling merchants to interact with customers regarding pricing, offering a quote request system with negotiation and approval workflows. It's designed to facilitate dynamic pricing based on customer offers. Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B, on the other hand, centers on managing wholesale and retail operations within a single Shopify store. It allows merchants to restrict access to products, prices, and other content based on customer groups, effectively creating a B2B or wholesale experience for specific customers. The core difference lies in their approach: one facilitates customer-initiated pricing negotiations, while the other enforces pre-determined pricing tiers and access control. S:Request a Quote & Hide Price excels at managing the request-a-quote process with features like auto-approval based on preset discounts, automated email notifications, and quote conversion to draft orders. Its customization options, including a form builder and multi-language support, enhance its flexibility. Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B specializes in controlling access to different parts of the store, making it suitable for merchants needing to hide pricing or products from retail customers while showcasing them to wholesale buyers. It provides tools for password-protecting pages, hiding the add-to-cart button, and segmenting customers based on tags or email addresses.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to implement a robust request-a-quote system where customers can negotiate prices, S:Request a Quote & Hide Price is the superior choice. Its features such as auto-approval and quote conversion streamline the negotiation process. However, if the primary need is to separate wholesale and retail operations by restricting access to certain products, prices, or pages for specific customer groups, Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B is the more suitable option. Its ability to hide content and password-protect pages offers a straightforward way to manage B2B access within a single Shopify store.
Ultimately, the better app depends on the merchant's specific business model. If dynamic, customer-driven pricing is key, choose S:Request a Quote. If clear separation of wholesale and retail offerings with controlled access is the goal, Wholesale Lock Manager is the recommended solution.
