Sternify ‑ Bundles & Sections vs Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reelfor Shopify (2026)
Sternify ‑ Bundles & Sections and Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel both aim to enhance the Shopify store experience, but they cater to vastly different needs. Sternify is positioned as a general-purpose theme extension tool, offering a library of customizable sections for various purposes like product highlights, social proof, and upsells. Its strength lies in providing diverse design blocks and sections directly within the theme editor, allowing for flexible layout customization and enhancing the visual appeal of a store. It targets merchants seeking broader control over their store's appearance and functionality without extensive coding. Whatmore, on the other hand, is laser-focused on leveraging video content for sales. Its primary strength is automated integration of shoppable videos from platforms like Instagram and TikTok, with AI-powered product tagging and features like auto-playing carousels. Whatmore excels at turning social media engagement into direct sales, creating a dynamic, video-driven shopping experience. While both apps have social proof capabilities, Whatmore's social proof manifests through user-generated content in the form of videos from platforms like TikTok, whereas Sternify implements reviews and testimonials. The core difference lies in their application: Sternify offers social proof sections as part of a broader suite of theme enhancements, while Whatmore centers its entire value proposition around video commerce and the social influence of platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Our Verdict
The choice between Sternify and Whatmore hinges on the merchant's specific needs and strategy. Sternify is a better fit for merchants who want greater control over their store's design and layout, offering a wide range of customizable sections for product highlights, social proof, and promotions. It is ideal for those who want to add sections without extensive coding knowledge. Whatmore, on the other hand, is the clear choice for merchants who are actively using video content, particularly on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, and want to seamlessly integrate these videos into their store to drive sales.
For businesses heavily invested in a social media video marketing strategy, Whatmore's automated features and focus on shoppable videos make it a more compelling option. However, if you seek broader customization options and a more general-purpose theme enhancement tool, Sternify is the more suitable choice. Consider whether your primary goal is visual customization or converting social media engagement into direct sales through video.
Common Questions
Which app is better for showcasing customer testimonials?
Sternify is better suited for displaying traditional text-based reviews and testimonials through its Socialproof sections. Whatmore focuses primarily on leveraging video content, so it's less ideal for standard testimonials.
Which app is easier to set up and maintain?
Whatmore likely offers a faster initial setup due to its automated syncing with platforms like Instagram and TikTok. However, Sternify's use of the theme editor might feel more familiar to some users, although customizing sections extensively may require more time.
Can I use both Sternify and Whatmore simultaneously?
Yes, it's technically possible to use both apps if their features don't conflict. Sternify could be used to enhance the overall theme layout, while Whatmore focuses specifically on integrating shoppable videos. However, it's important to test for compatibility and ensure they don't negatively impact site performance.
Which app is better for stores with little or no video content?
Sternify is the better choice for stores without existing video content. Whatmore's primary value proposition centers around video, so it would be ineffective without it. Sternify's diverse theme enhancements offer value regardless of video integration.
Which app will likely have a greater impact on SEO?
Both apps can contribute to SEO, but in different ways. Sternify's custom sections can improve site structure and content, potentially boosting SEO. Whatmore's shoppable videos can also enhance user engagement, signaling to search engines that your store provides a valuable user experience. The impact of video content can be higher if the content is optimized and integrated in the right places.
