Stockist Store Locator vs Whatsapp Chat by SCfor Shopify (2026)
Stockist Store Locator and Whatsapp Chat by SC, while both operating within the 'Selling in person' Shopify category, address vastly different merchant needs. Stockist is geared toward merchants with physical storefronts or dealer networks, enabling them to create a searchable store locator map. Its strength lies in its comprehensive store management features, customization options, and insightful analytics regarding customer location searches. The sheer number of positive reviews (273) indicates a well-established and trusted solution for businesses aiming to drive foot traffic to physical locations. Whatsapp Chat by SC, on the other hand, targets merchants seeking to enhance online customer support and engagement through real-time communication. Its focus is on integrating WhatsApp for direct interaction, addressing customer inquiries quickly, and boosting sales through instant messaging. While it shares the 'Selling in person' category due to potential for informing customers of nearby stores, its primary value proposition is improved online customer service. The single review, while positive, doesn't provide the same level of confidence as Stockist's large number of reviewers. The core difference lies in Stockist facilitating physical store discovery and Whatsapp Chat enabling immediate online customer support.

Our Verdict
For merchants with a brick-and-mortar presence and a desire to drive foot traffic to their physical locations, Stockist Store Locator is the clear choice. Its robust feature set, customizability, and proven track record (indicated by its high review count) make it a valuable tool for showcasing store locations and understanding customer search behavior.
Whatsapp Chat by SC is better suited for online businesses seeking to enhance their customer support and build stronger relationships with customers through immediate, personalized communication. While it might be used in conjunction with a 'Selling in person' strategy to inform customers of physical store locations, its core strength lies in improving online customer experience and driving conversions through real-time chat.
