SureBright Product Protection vs Swish (formerly Wishlist King)for Shopify (2026)
SureBright Product Protection and Swish (formerly Wishlist King) both aim to enhance customer loyalty for Shopify merchants, but they achieve this through vastly different strategies. SureBright focuses on post-purchase peace of mind by offering extended warranties and shipping insurance, allowing merchants to profit through revenue sharing on protection plans. It emphasizes reducing customer anxiety related to product damage or loss and claims to handle all the associated complexities. Swish, on the other hand, is a pre-purchase engagement tool, allowing customers to save desired items to a wishlist, fostering prolonged engagement and ultimately aiming to drive conversions at the 'optimal moment'. Swish's strength lies in its customization options, theme integrations, and marketing integrations (Klaviyo, GA4, Meta).

Common Questions
Which app offers more direct revenue generation?
SureBright Product Protection offers a direct revenue stream through its revenue share model on sold protection plans. Swish aims to increase overall sales by improving customer engagement and conversion rates, which indirectly leads to revenue generation. However, the profitability of Swish is dependant on an undisclosed subscription price.
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
According to their descriptions, both apps boast easy setup. SureBright mentions 'easy setup, no time commitment', while Swish highlights a 'free setup & customisation service'. Ease of long-term management would likely depend on the volume of claims handled by SureBright vs. the effectiveness of the wishlist strategy implemented with Swish.
Which app is better for a new Shopify store with limited resources?
Swish's free setup and customization service might be more attractive for a new store with limited resources. While SureBright can generate immediate revenue, the focus on claims management may require more resources initially. Swish might be a better starting point to build customer engagement.
Which app is better for a store selling fragile or high-value items?
SureBright Product Protection is the better choice for stores selling fragile or high-value items, as it directly addresses concerns about damage during shipping or use. This adds an extra layer of security and trust for customers purchasing such products.
Does Swish directly protect items like SureBright's product protection?
No, Swish does not offer direct product protection or warranties. It focuses on customer engagement and driving conversions through wishlist functionality, whereas SureBright directly protects purchases through shipping insurance and extended warranties.
