Swish (formerly Wishlist King) vs Wishlist Herofor Shopify (2026)
Swish (formerly Wishlist King) and Wishlist Hero are both wishlist apps aiming to enhance customer engagement and drive conversions on Shopify stores. Swish positions itself as a feature-rich and highly customizable solution targeted at brands with ambition, emphasizing personalized notifications and deep integrations with marketing platforms. They also provide free setup and customisation, making onboarding easy for most Shopify brands. In contrast, Wishlist Hero focuses on ease of use, fast customer care, and automated installation, appealing to merchants prioritizing a quick and efficient setup process alongside features like price drop and low stock email alerts to recapture customer attention and convert wishlists into sales. The two solutions offer different value propositions. Swish appears to prioritize customization and advanced analytics, attracting businesses willing to invest in a tailored wishlist experience and data-driven insights. Wishlist Hero, on the other hand, highlights features like guest wishlist usage, one-click setup, and broad compatibility (product, collection, quick views), making it a more accessible and user-friendly option for stores of varying sizes seeking a less technical and easily integrated solution. Integrations with common marketing platforms like Klaviyo, GA4, Meta, and TikTok pixel are available from both apps, signaling their similar intentions of allowing Shopify merchants to make the most of their marketing efforts using wishlist data.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a highly customizable and feature-rich wishlist solution with deep analytics and personalized notifications, Swish (formerly Wishlist King) is the recommended choice. The free setup and customization service mitigates potential complexity for those less technically inclined. However, for merchants prioritizing a quick and easy setup, a user-friendly interface, and automated reminders to drive conversions, Wishlist Hero is the better option. Its guest wishlist functionality and wider compatibility with different views on a store can also lead to more wishlist activity and recapture of customer intent on products they are interested in.
Ultimately, the best app depends on the merchant's specific needs and technical capabilities. If data insights and customization are paramount, Swish is ideal. If simplicity and automated reminders are more important, Wishlist Hero is the more suitable choice.
