Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets vs Syncerize ‑ inventory syncfor Shopify (2026)
Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets and Syncerize - inventory sync are both Shopify apps that cater to merchants needing bulk editing capabilities, but they address fundamentally different needs. Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets focuses on leveraging the power of Google Sheets to directly manipulate product data (prices, SKUs, titles, etc.) for a single store. Its strength lies in providing a familiar and flexible spreadsheet interface for managing product catalogs at scale. The ideal user is a merchant needing powerful bulk editing capabilities within a single Shopify store using Google Sheets. Syncerize, on the other hand, centers around multi-store inventory, product, and order synchronization. Its primary function is to prevent overselling and streamline operations across multiple Shopify and WooCommerce stores, or to facilitate dropshipping networks. Syncerize excels at connecting multiple stores, suppliers, or warehouses, making it perfect for retailers with a multi-store presence, wholesalers, suppliers, or those implementing a dropshipping strategy. While both apps technically fall under the "Bulk editor" category on Shopify, the former targets product data management *within* a single store, while the latter addresses data synchronization *across* multiple stores. This difference is crucial in determining which app aligns better with a merchant's specific requirements. Our Verdict
For merchants solely focused on improving product data management *within* their Shopify store using spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets, Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets is the clear choice. Its strength lies in providing a familiar and flexible interface for manipulating product information at scale. It's great for single-store owners who are comfortable using formulas and other spreadsheet features to manage their product catalogs efficiently.
However, if the primary need is to manage inventory, products, and orders *across multiple stores* (Shopify or WooCommerce) or to implement a dropshipping network, Syncerize is the superior option. Its real-time synchronization capabilities and multi-store focus make it ideal for preventing overselling and streamlining complex operational workflows that involve multiple sales channels and suppliers.
Common Questions
Which app is better for preventing overselling?
Syncerize is explicitly designed to prevent overselling by providing real-time inventory synchronization across multiple stores. While Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets could be used to update inventory levels, it doesn't offer real-time syncing, making it less effective for preventing overselling across multiple channels.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but with caution. You *could* use Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets to manage product data in a primary store and then use Syncerize to sync that data to other stores. However, this introduces complexity and requires careful management to avoid conflicts. It's crucial to ensure that updates made in Google Sheets are properly reflected in the primary store before Syncerize synchronizes those changes to other stores. Consider that you now have 2 apps writing to the same data - potential for conflicts is real.
Which app is easier to use?
Ease of use is subjective. If you are very familiar with Google Sheets, Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets will likely feel intuitive. Syncerize may have a learning curve associated with setting up store connections and configuring synchronization rules, but the interface is likely optimized for the multi-store synchronization task.
Which app is better for dropshipping?
Syncerize is directly designed for dropshipping, specifically mentioned in the description with COD-friendly features. Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets could potentially be used to update product information or inventory for dropshipped products, but it lacks the direct synchronization features and order management capabilities that Syncerize offers for dropshipping workflows.
If I only have one store, is Syncerize useful?
Probably not. Syncerize's primary value proposition is multi-store synchronization. If you only have one store, Sync: Bulk Edit Google Sheets is likely a better fit if you need to bulk edit product data.
