Synkro: Inventory Sync vs Tightly: Inventory Managementfor Shopify (2026)
Synkro: Inventory Sync and Tightly: Inventory Management both address inventory challenges for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they target different needs and offer distinct solutions. Synkro focuses on simplifying multi-store management within the Shopify ecosystem. Its core strength lies in real-time syncing of inventory, products, and orders across multiple connected Shopify stores, streamlining operations for merchants with a multi-store presence. Tightly, on the other hand, takes a broader approach, emphasizing multichannel inventory management and planning across Shopify, marketplaces, and wholesale channels. Tightly's key differentiator is its AI-driven forecasting and replenishment features. It aims to help merchants proactively manage their inventory levels, prevent stockouts and overstocking, and optimize purchasing decisions. While Synkro automates the synchronization of data between existing stores, Tightly provides insights and tools for smarter inventory planning and control across a wider range of sales channels. The choice between the two depends heavily on whether the merchant's primary need is multi-store synchronization or comprehensive inventory planning across multiple sales channels.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating multiple Shopify stores and primarily concerned with keeping inventory, products, and orders perfectly synchronized across those stores, Synkro: Inventory Sync is the better choice. Its real-time syncing capabilities and easy product cloning offer significant time savings and reduced errors. However, for merchants selling across multiple channels (Shopify, marketplaces, wholesale) and seeking a more comprehensive solution for inventory management and planning, including AI-powered forecasting and replenishment, Tightly: Inventory Management is the superior option. Tightly's ability to integrate with 3PLs, ERPs, and accounting systems also makes it a better fit for larger, more complex businesses.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Tightly claims a setup time of 2 minutes, suggesting a simpler initial configuration compared to Synkro. However, Synkro's configuration may be more complex due to its highly configurable nature.
Which app is better for a merchant with just one Shopify store?

Does Synkro offer inventory forecasting?
No, Synkro's feature set does not include inventory forecasting. Its strength lies in syncing existing inventory data across multiple stores, not predicting future demand.
Can Tightly sync product details like descriptions and images?
Tightly's description focuses on inventory synchronization and POs, not product detail syncing. It's implied that Synkro is better suited for product information synchronization.
Which app provides better customer support?
