Talon Backups vs TS Security & Country IP blockfor Shopify (2026)
Talon Backups and TS Security & Country IP block, while both categorized under 'Security - Other' in the Shopify app store, cater to fundamentally different needs. Talon Backups positions itself as a data safety net, focused on preventing data loss from errors during store updates and modifications. Its key strength lies in automatic daily backups, detailed change tracking, and easy restoration of themes, products, orders, customer data, and collections. Its target audience is any Shopify merchant, regardless of size, who frequently updates their store's content or code and wants a rollback option. TS Security & Country IP block, on the other hand, is a pure security app focused on preventing unauthorized access through IP blocking. Based on the limited data provided (only rating and reviews), it's challenging to fully understand its feature set. However, based on the name, we can infer it allows merchants to block IP addresses from specific countries to prevent malicious activity or unwanted traffic. This app is aimed at merchants primarily concerned with preventing hacking attempts or unauthorized access originating from specific geographic locations. TS Security & Country IP block appears to focus on proactive security, while Talon Backups focuses on reactive recovery. The lack of feature information limits further comparison. Ultimately, a merchant would not likely choose between the two: they solve different problems.
