Our Verdict
For US-based Shopify merchants primarily concerned with automating sales tax compliance and navigating the complexities of US state tax laws, Tax Rex ‑ Sales Tax Automation is the clear choice. Its high rating and specific features like nexus alerts and state registration make it a valuable tool for managing sales tax obligations. However, merchants using Xero accounting software and requiring a seamless integration between Shopify and Xero should opt for XERO SYNC Orders and Inventory, even though the rating is lower. While the lower rating is a concern, it supports global tax and order management.
