Terms and Conditions checkbox vs Terms and Conditions Pro+for Shopify (2026)
Terms and Conditions checkbox and Terms and Conditions Pro+ are both Shopify apps designed to ensure customers agree to specific terms and conditions before completing a purchase. However, they differ significantly in their execution and target audience. Terms and Conditions checkbox prioritizes simplicity and ease of use with a focus on core functionality, such as a popup display of terms and agreement logging. It aims to provide a straightforward solution for basic compliance needs, emphasizing compatibility with various themes and checkout options. Terms and Conditions Pro+ aims for a more comprehensive solution, offering features like product and collection-specific terms, and conditional display of the checkbox. It appears positioned toward merchants needing more granular control over their terms and conditions presentation. However, the significantly lower rating and higher review count suggest potential issues with the app's performance, usability, or customer support. While it offers advanced features, the negative user feedback casts doubt on its overall value proposition. The target user is likely someone who wants specific T&C for products, collections, etc., but they should proceed with caution and scrutinize recent reviews.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a reliable and straightforward solution for adding a terms and conditions checkbox, Terms and Conditions checkbox is the clear choice. Its high rating and emphasis on ease of use make it a safer bet, especially for those prioritizing compatibility and quick setup. The explicit mention of support for various checkout buttons also adds to its appeal.
Terms and Conditions Pro+ might appeal to merchants with more complex requirements, such as product-specific terms, or those needing granular control over checkbox display. However, the significantly lower rating should give potential users pause. Proceed with caution, thoroughly investigate recent reviews, and be prepared to invest time in troubleshooting potential issues.
