Our Verdict
For merchants taking their first steps towards accessibility and needing a general overview of homepage issues, TestParty: Accessibility Scan offers a starting point. However, the lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability. Variant Alt Text King: SEO is the clear choice for stores prioritizing SEO and accessibility of product images. Its automated alt text creation and proven track record (5/5 rating with 20 reviews) make it a valuable tool for improving image discoverability and adhering to accessibility standards. Unless a merchant specifically needs a broad homepage accessibility scan and is willing to take a risk on a new app, Variant Alt Text King: SEO is the stronger option.
