Our Verdict
Textbox & Textfield by Textify is the better choice for merchants who simply need to collect basic order notes or offer simple text-based customizations like engraving requests. Its ease of use and streamlined approach to collecting order-specific information make it ideal for smaller stores or those with less complex product variations. Variant Option Product Options is recommended for larger stores or those selling highly customizable products requiring multiple options, color swatches, image uploads, and price add-ons. It effectively extends Shopify's variant capabilities and allows for complex product configurations, but might require a steeper learning curve.
