Traffic Guard vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Traffic Guard and Traffic Police both aim to provide Shopify merchants with tools to manage and control website traffic based on geolocation and IP address, but they approach the problem from slightly different angles and cater to different needs. Traffic Guard emphasizes flexibility and custom rule creation, allowing merchants to build intricate strategies for traffic redirection and blocking. Traffic Police, on the other hand, focuses on simplicity, security, and readily available protection against malicious traffic with an added emphasis on content protection and GDPR compliance. The key difference lies in Traffic Police offering pre-built security features, content protection measures, and ease of implementation, while Traffic Guard emphasizes customized rule creation.

Our Verdict
Traffic Police is the better option for merchants seeking immediate protection against malicious traffic and looking for an easy-to-use solution that includes content protection and GDPR compliance. The higher rating supports the app's ease of use and effectiveness. Traffic Guard, despite having more reviews, likely has lower user satisfaction considering its lower rating, indicating possible complexity or implementation challenges. Traffic Guard may suit merchants who require highly specific, complex traffic rules and are willing to invest time in configuration, perhaps for managing complex international store setups. However, the lower rating suggests a potentially steeper learning curve and less user-friendly experience.
