Our Verdict
Traffic Police appears to be better suited for merchants looking for a more comprehensive traffic management solution that includes basic security features and GDPR compliance alongside geolocation blocking and visitor redirection. The higher rating and existing reviews suggest a more stable and tested app. Ultimate Country Blocker, while currently unrated, is better positioned for merchants who specifically need precise control over geographic access, including blocking VPNs, proxies, and TOR, and require detailed real-time visitor logs for fraud prevention or bandwidth conservation. If strong geolocation control is the primary concern, Ultimate Country Blocker's feature set might be a better fit, but the lack of reviews poses a risk.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim ease of use, but Ultimate Country Blocker explicitly mentions 'one-click enable, instant rollback; no theme edits'. This suggests potentially simpler setup, though it is speculative without testing.
Which app is better for GDPR compliance?
Traffic Police includes a cookie bar, making it the better choice for basic GDPR compliance. Ultimate Country Blocker does not offer a similar feature.
Which app is better for blocking bot traffic?
Traffic Police allows blocking of malicious traffic by location, which may help with bot traffic. Ultimate Country Blocker's ability to block VPNs and proxies could indirectly block some bots but does not explicitly target them.
Which app provides better insights into blocked traffic?
Ultimate Country Blocker provides more detailed real-time logs showing the country, city, IP, and the exact rule that triggered the block, offering better insights than Traffic Police's basic IP Logs.
Which app is a safer choice given the current data?
Traffic Police is the safer choice because of its 5/5 rating and 8 reviews, demonstrating that some users have had success with the app. Ultimate Country Blocker has no reviews, making it difficult to assess its reliability or effectiveness.
