TryFit: Try Before You Buy vs TryOnify: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
TryFit: Try Before You Buy and TryOnify: Try Before You Buy both aim to provide Shopify merchants with a 'try before you buy' experience for their customers. However, they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. TryFit focuses on providing a customizable and data-rich experience, emphasizing brand alignment and detailed analytics. Its positioning centers around empowering shoppers and building customer confidence through a frictionless trial process. TryOnify, on the other hand, takes a simpler, more streamlined approach, primarily focusing on deferred payments as a customer acquisition tool. It positions itself as a replacement for predatory microlending and emphasizes ease of setup and automatic payment processing. TryFit caters to merchants seeking granular control over their try-before-you-buy program, valuing customization and data-driven insights to optimize the customer experience. It appears to offer more flexibility in defining eligible products and customers, along with robust analytics to track program performance. TryOnify targets merchants looking for a quick and easy way to offer a trial period by deferring payments, reducing cart abandonment, and increasing sales. It simplifies the process with automatic payment collection and credit card authorization, sacrificing some customization for convenience and immediate impact on customer acquisition.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a highly customizable and data-rich try-before-you-buy solution, TryFit *could* be the better choice, *if* they are able to look past the lack of reviews. The app description suggests a robust platform for brands that want to tailor the experience to their specific needs and gain deep insights into program performance. However, the complete absence of reviews is a major concern. A merchant would essentially be beta-testing it.
TryOnify is better suited for merchants prioritizing rapid implementation and a straightforward approach to customer acquisition through deferred payments. The automatic payment processing and focus on reducing cart abandonment provide a simpler, more immediately impactful solution. The positive rating and initial reviews offer some reassurance, making it a lower-risk option for merchants primarily focused on driving sales and acquiring new customers with minimal setup effort.
