Ultimate Postal Code Blocker vs UpsellPlus Checkout Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
Ultimate Postal Code Blocker and UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell are both Shopify apps competing within the "Checkout - Other" category. However, they cater to drastically different needs. Ultimate Postal Code Blocker (UPCB) likely focuses on restricting sales based on location, potentially for compliance, territory limitations, or strategic market access. In contrast, UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell (UPCU) focuses on maximizing average order value (AOV) through various upselling and cross-selling strategies at multiple points in the customer journey, from the product page to post-purchase. The large disparity in review count suggests UPCU is a much more established and widely used application.

Our Verdict
The choice between Ultimate Postal Code Blocker and UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell depends entirely on the merchant's core business needs. If a merchant needs to restrict sales based on geographic location due to legal requirements, franchise agreements, or other strategic reasons, Ultimate Postal Code Blocker is likely the appropriate choice, assuming it fulfills that function effectively. On the other hand, if a merchant wants to boost their average order value and customer engagement through strategic upsells and cross-sells throughout the customer journey, UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell appears to be a much stronger contender, especially given its high rating and significantly larger number of reviews. The fact that UpsellPlus offers many features is a much safer choice.
