Vidjet Shoppable Videos +Story vs Widgetic (Video Player)for Shopify (2026)
Vidjet Shoppable Videos +Story and Widgetic (Video Player) both aim to enhance Shopify stores using video. However, they cater to vastly different needs and scales of operation. It emphasizes bulk embedding, customization (product tagging, CTAs), and analytics. Vidjet also stresses the use of UGC and product videos, implying a broader strategy of video marketing. Our Verdict
Vidjet Shoppable Videos +Story is better suited for merchants who have a large inventory, need to manage numerous videos across many pages, and are looking for advanced features like product tagging, CTAs, and in-depth analytics. Its 'no site speed impact' claim is also a major advantage for larger stores. It's aimed at merchants taking a comprehensive approach to video marketing.
Widgetic (Video Player) is more appropriate for smaller stores or businesses that only need a basic video player for a limited number of product videos. It's a simpler solution for businesses focused primarily on improving product presentation and customer engagement on specific product pages. The low rating and small number of reviews, however, should be a cause for caution. Merchants should explore alternatives or free trials extensively before committing to Widgetic.
