WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO vs Webrex: SEO Schema & JSON‑LDfor Shopify (2026)
WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO and Webrex: SEO Schema & JSON‑LD, while both residing in the SEO category on Shopify, address distinct areas of search engine optimization. WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO focuses on improving page speed and SEO through image optimization techniques like converting images to WebP format, optimizing alt text and filenames, and implementing lazy loading. It targets merchants who want to improve site speed and reduce bandwidth consumption, leading to a better user experience and potentially higher search rankings. The app emphasizes automation and ease of use with its 'set and forget' background optimization feature. Webrex: SEO Schema & JSON‑LD, on the other hand, concentrates on structured data markup (schema) to enhance how search engines, especially AI-driven systems, understand and display store content. Its focus is on generating schema for various content types, including products, reviews, FAQs, and more. This app aims to increase click-through rates by making search results more informative with rich snippets like star ratings and prices. Webrex targets merchants looking to leverage structured data to stand out in search results, particularly those using AI-driven search engines and aiming to increase CTR without necessarily improving rankings first.
