Wishlist by Square vs Wishlist Wizardfor Shopify (2026)
Both Wishlist by Square and Wishlist Wizard aim to provide Shopify merchants with wishlist functionality for their stores in 2026. However, Wishlist by Square, backed by Square, appears to offer a more robust and feature-rich solution designed for merchants seeking a comprehensive wishlist experience with built-in analytics and customization. Wishlist Wizard, while simpler, focuses primarily on basic wishlist functionality with shareability features. Wishlist by Square emphasizes automatic saving and tracking, even without customer accounts, and integrates insights for understanding customer buying intent. Wishlist Wizard focuses on bookmarking and accessibility across devices with a focus on sharing features. Wishlist by Square appears more geared towards merchants who prioritize data-driven decision-making and want a more deeply integrated wishlist experience, potentially targeting larger or more established stores. They also prioritize design and multiple language options. Wishlist Wizard, with its focus on simple bookmarking and sharing, caters to merchants who want a straightforward, less intrusive wishlist option with an emphasis on list shareability among customers and their friends. The user reviews and detailed feature set of Wishlist by Square also suggests that its value proposition is more about increasing conversion and understanding consumer behavior, while Wishlist Wizard focuses more on ease of use and baseline functionality.

Our Verdict
Wishlist by Square is the stronger choice for merchants who need robust features, data analytics, and extensive customization. Its ability to function without requiring customer accounts is a significant advantage. The greater number of positive reviews also suggests greater reliability and satisfaction. It is perfect for merchants looking for wishlist solution that increases conversion rates and provides customer insights.
Wishlist Wizard is suitable for smaller shops or merchants who want a simple, easy-to-implement wishlist with list-sharing features. Its simplicity might appeal to merchants who want a minimal approach, but its lack of data and design features might make it less useful for many. The shareability is definitely the app's primary strength. The low number of reviews, however, should prompt caution and additional research before committing to this app.
