Wishlist by Square vs WishSparkfor Shopify (2026)
Wishlist by Square and WishSpark are both Shopify apps designed to enhance the customer shopping experience through wishlist functionality. Wishlist by Square positions itself as an easy-to-use, out-of-the-box solution integrated with Square's ecosystem, while WishSpark focuses on personalized reminders and broader placement of wishlist buttons. The key difference lies in their current traction and focus; Wishlist by Square, despite a limited number of reviews, has established a positive user rating, whereas WishSpark, though offering potentially valuable features like personalized emails and broader placement, currently lacks user validation. Wishlist by Square's integration and ease of use cater to merchants seeking a simple, effective solution, whereas WishSpark appeals to those wanting more personalized engagement and layout control, but with the risk of being untested. WishSpark boasts personalized email reminders and availability on product, collection, and quick view pages, whereas Wishlist by Square highlights one-click wishlist saving and automatic item tracking without requiring customer accounts.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a proven and easily implemented wishlist solution, especially those already integrated with the Square ecosystem, Wishlist by Square is the more suitable choice. Its positive rating and existing user base offer a degree of assurance. However, for merchants prioritizing personalized customer engagement through email reminders and broader wishlist button placement, and are comfortable with a potentially less established app, WishSpark might be worth exploring. Given WishSpark's lack of reviews, thorough testing is recommended before fully committing to it. Wishlist by Square is a more conservative, user-validated choice, while WishSpark is a potentially feature-rich but unproven alternative.
