Create Inventory Forecasting Report

Help me forecast inventory needs for my Shopify store:

Current Inventory Analysis:

  Current stock levels for all products/variants
  Average daily/weekly sales velocity per product
  Days of inventory remaining at current sell rate
  Products at risk of stockout in next 30 days


Forecasting Model:
For each product, calculate:

  Base demand: Average units sold per week (last 90 days)
  Trend adjustment: Is demand increasing or decreasing?
  Seasonality factor: Historical monthly variation (if data available)
  Promotion impact: Expected sales lift from planned promotions
  Recommended reorder point: When to place the order
  Recommended order quantity: How much to order


Key Inputs Needed:

  Supplier lead time: [X] days/weeks per supplier
  Minimum order quantities (MOQ)
  Storage capacity constraints
  Upcoming promotions or sales events
  Budget constraints for inventory investment


Reports to Generate:

  Reorder alerts: Products to reorder NOW (< 2 weeks of stock)
  30-day forecast: Expected units needed for next 30 days
  90-day forecast: Quarterly inventory plan
  Dead stock report: Items with no sales in 60+ days
  Overstock report: Items with 6+ months of inventory


Cash Flow Impact:

  Total inventory investment needed for next quarter
  Prioritize by: profit margin × sales velocity
  Suggest which slow-movers to discount to free up cash
