Calculate Profit Margins by Product

Help me calculate and analyze profit margins across my Shopify store:

Store Details:

Per-Product Margin Calculation:
For each product (or a selected collection: [COLLECTION NAME]), calculate:

  Selling price (after any standing discounts)

  Transaction and payment processing fees
  Gross margin = (Revenue - COGS) / Revenue

  Top 10 highest-margin products (percentage and dollar amount)
  Bottom 10 lowest-margin products (flag any negative margins)
  Average margin by collection or product type
  Margin comparison: full-price orders vs discounted orders
  Margin trend over [LAST 30 DAYS / LAST QUARTER] – are margins improving or declining?


Discount Impact Analysis:

  How much do active discount codes reduce your effective margin?
  Which discount campaigns eroded margins the most?
  Recommended minimum price or maximum discount to maintain [TARGET MARGIN PERCENTAGE]% margin


Actionable Recommendations:

  Products to consider repricing (too low margin for their sales volume)
  Products where shipping costs are eating into profit disproportionately
  Suggestions for bundling low-margin items with high-margin items
  Identify products where a small price increase would significantly improve margin
