Build Urgency/Countdown Bar

Create an urgency/countdown bar for my Shopify store to increase conversion rates:

Bar Design:

  Fixed position at top of page (above header)
  Slim bar with countdown timer and message
  Eye-catching but not annoying color scheme
  Dismissable with X button (remembers dismissal)


Countdown Timer:

  Real-time countdown: Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds
  Set specific end date/time
  When timer ends: hide bar or show “Sale Ended” message
  Option for evergreen timer (resets per visitor session)


Message Templates:

  “🔥 Flash Sale: [X]% off everything — ends in [TIMER]”
  “🚚 Free shipping on orders $[X]+ — Today only! [TIMER]”
  “⏰ Last chance: [SALE NAME] ends in [TIMER]”
  “🎁 Buy 2, Get 1 Free — [TIMER] remaining”


Settings:

  Bar background color and text color
  Timer end date (date picker)
  Message text (customizable)
  Link URL (click to shop)
  Show on all pages or specific pages
  Mobile: collapsible or always visible


Requirements:

  Doesn’t affect page layout (position: fixed or sticky)
  Smooth animation
  Works across time zones (use UTC)
  Shopify section with schema settings
  Generate as a theme section
