Nabu for Google Ads Pixel is a well-regarded app for simplifying Google Ads conversion tracking on Shopify. However, merchants might seek alternatives for several reasons. While Nabu excels at ease of use and automated code updates, some users might find its feature set limited as their needs evolve. Pricing can also be a factor, as merchants often compare costs across different apps with similar functionalities. Additionally, some merchants might desire more control over data customization and reporting than Nabu offers out-of-the-box.

Switching apps for Google Ads pixel implementation shouldn't affect historical data already collected within Google Ads. However, ensure the new app correctly implements the same conversion events to maintain data consistency moving forward. It is important to keep Nabu installed for a while to prevent data loss.
Carefully configure the new app to track the same conversion events as Nabu, such as purchases, add-to-carts, and checkout initiations. Verify the implementation by placing test orders and confirming the conversions are recorded in Google Ads.
Consider apps that allow custom code injection or offer more granular control over event parameters. These options may require more technical expertise but provide greater flexibility.
While technically possible, using multiple apps for the same purpose can lead to data duplication or conflicts. It's generally best to choose one reliable app and configure it correctly.
The process depends on the new app. Some apps offer import features or guides to help you migrate settings. If not, you may need to manually reconfigure the conversion events and settings in the new app.
