Product Samples by Luke is a well-regarded app for offering product samples on Shopify. However, by 2026, merchants might be seeking alternatives for various reasons. Perhaps they need more advanced discount functionality, integrations with other marketing tools, or are looking for a solution with a different pricing structure that better aligns with their evolving business needs. The original app's simplicity might become a limitation for stores wanting more complex promotional strategies or a more comprehensive suite of sales tools.
Verify all registered customers and allow or disallow them to see prices and "add to cart" buttons
Singleton | Verify Customers is not a direct alternative for Product Samples. It focuses on customer verification and access control, which might be useful for stores with specific membership or wholesale requirements.
Best for stores that need to control customer access to pricing and product information.

Let your customers request quotes through your cart.
Quick Quote provides a way for customers to request custom quotes, which can be useful if the sample program leads to custom orders or B2B interactions. It manages the quoting process from request to checkout.
Ideal for stores that handle custom orders or need a quoting system.
All-in-one AB testing: optimize prices, shipping, themes, content and more to maximize store profit!
Elevate A/B Testing Price Test offers a completely different approach. Instead of directly offering samples or discounts, it allows you to optimize your pricing strategy through A/B testing to see what price points drive the most revenue.

Best for merchants who want a flexible discount system with volume discounts and customer targeting.
YouQuote: Request a Quote Form, is similar to Quick Quote. It allows customers to request quotes, streamlining the process for custom orders or complex pricing scenarios, should your sample strategy evolve into that.
Ideal for stores that need a user-friendly request a quote form.
Show VAT Included and VAT Excluded prices together with products for B2B customer clarity
Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is relevant if you sell to both B2B and B2C customers and need to display prices with and without VAT. This is not a replacement for Product Samples' functionality.
Best for stores selling to both B2B and B2C customers requiring VAT-inclusive and exclusive price displays.
Monitor competitors' prices to maximize profits on Google Shopping | AI dynamic pricing optimization

Best for merchants who want to use AI to optimize their pricing based on competitor data.
You might switch if you need more advanced features like bulk discounts, scheduled sales, A/B testing for pricing, or integrations with other marketing tools. Your business requirements could also have evolved.
While Product Samples is praised for its simplicity, some alternatives like Quick Quote and YouQuote maintain a relatively straightforward approach focused on a specific task.
Rockit Discounts & Sales App is explicitly designed for flash sales and scheduled promotions, offering comprehensive discount management.
Elevate A/B Testing Price Test is the best option, allowing you to run A/B tests on different price points to see which maximizes revenue and profits.
