Free checklist & auditGet the free BFCM checklist & auditMerchants often seek alternatives to apps like SampleFirst ‑ Try & Buy for various reasons, particularly when the initial app lacks user reviews or demonstrable success. Without a proven track record, merchants may be hesitant to commit, especially if the app's feature set is limited or the pricing doesn't align with their needs. Furthermore, merchants often need robust support, clear documentation, and ongoing updates, all of which can be uncertain with a zero-rated app. Since SampleFirst focuses on a "Try & Buy" model, a merchant would need an alternative offering similar sampling capabilities. This includes the ability to easily offer product samples, manage associated costs, and track the impact on sales and returns. Alternatives would also have to offer seamless integration with their existing Shopify setup and provide customizable options for sample pricing and availability.
Verify all registered customers and allow or disallow them to see prices and "add to cart" buttons

Ideal for stores that want to offer samples as a reward to verified or loyal customers.

Best for merchants who need highly customizable product options that could be adapted to create a sample experience.
Let your customers request quotes through your cart.

Best for merchants who sell products where custom quotes are common, and sampling can be incorporated into the quote request process.
Allow customer try samples before buy!

Boost sales by letting customers make you an offer. Set up rules to auto accept, decline and counter

Yes, apps offering custom quotes, product options, or customer verification can be creatively utilized to offer sample products or exclusive access to trial versions.
Consider your specific needs and business model. If you need a dedicated sampling app, Product Samples by Luke or Huski Product Sample & memo are good choices. If you require more flexibility, consider apps offering quote requests or product customization.
