1send: Bulk Facebook Messenger vs Listrak: Email, SMS & Identityfor Shopify (2026)
1send: Bulk Facebook Messenger and Listrak: Email, SMS & Identity offer distinct approaches to customer engagement for Shopify merchants. 1send positions itself as a novel solution, leveraging Facebook Messenger for bulk promotional messaging, aiming to bypass traditional email and SMS challenges like deliverability and rising costs. Its core strength lies in its focus on a single, potentially unsaturated channel and a done-for-you service, promising high results from its ex-Meta team. This makes it appealing to merchants looking for an alternative to email and SMS and seeking rapid growth through Facebook Messenger. Listrak, on the other hand, offers a comprehensive omnichannel marketing platform encompassing Email, SMS, Identity, and Push notifications. Its strength lies in its integration with Shopify data, allowing for personalized, 1:1 interactions across multiple channels driven by AI-powered segmentation and real-time data syncing.

Our Verdict
1send is ideal for Shopify merchants specifically targeting Facebook Messenger for growth, particularly those frustrated with email and SMS marketing challenges. Its 'done-for-you' service and focus on a single channel provide a streamlined approach. However, due to the limited review count and single channel focus, it comes with increased risk. Listrak is better suited for established e-commerce businesses with a more mature marketing strategy that requires a comprehensive, multi-channel approach, deep data integration, and AI-powered personalization. If a business is focused on a single, unproven channel, 1send could be a high-risk, high-reward play. But if a business needs a solid foundation for email, SMS, and Push, Listrak is the safer bet. The higher review count suggests greater user trust and a longer track record.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
1send likely offers a simpler setup due to its focus on Facebook Messenger and its 'done-for-you' service. Listrak, with its omnichannel capabilities and deeper data integration, likely requires more technical expertise and configuration.
Which app offers better ROI?
ROI depends heavily on the target audience and marketing strategy. 1send promises incredible results on an unsaturated channel, but this claim is based on limited data. Listrak offers personalized experiences across multiple channels, which could potentially lead to higher ROI if implemented effectively.
Which app is better for collecting customer data?
Listrak has a clear advantage with real-time API sync to consume customer, order and product catalog updates, plus real-time subscription integration and AI identity resolution, while 1send's data collection is primarily based on basic subscriber insights like gender and language.
Which app is more scalable?
Listrak's comprehensive platform and focus on personalization and AI-driven automation suggest better scalability for growing e-commerce businesses. 1send's reliance on a single channel might limit its scalability as marketing strategies evolve.
Which app is more focused on automation?
While both apps offer some level of automation, Listrak's AI-powered predictive segmentation, automated coupon generation, and cross-channel orchestration indicates a stronger emphasis on automation compared to 1send's campaign scheduling and basic subscriber insights.
