Advanced Predictive Search vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
Advanced Predictive Search and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top both aim to improve the user experience on a Shopify store, but they tackle entirely different problems. Advanced Predictive Search focuses on enhancing the search functionality, aiming to help customers quickly find products by providing relevant search results and product recommendations as they type. Its primary value proposition is improved product discovery and potentially increased sales through more efficient search. In contrast, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top addresses navigation on long pages by providing a button that allows users to quickly return to the top, with an optional progress bar. Its value proposition is improved usability and a more modern feel, particularly for themes that lack this feature natively. While both apps have perfect 5/5 ratings, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top has significantly more reviews (30 vs. 3), suggesting a larger user base and potentially more validated reliability. Advanced Predictive Search focuses on the pre-purchase experience related to product discovery, whereas RT: Smooth Scroll To Top aims at overall site navigation and ease of use, especially when viewing product details or blog content. The former targets merchants looking to optimize product search, and the latter targets merchants with content-heavy pages that want to improve navigation, especially with older themes.

Our Verdict
Choosing between these two apps depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary concern is improving the speed and relevance of product searches, Advanced Predictive Search is the better choice. It's designed to help customers find products more easily, potentially leading to increased sales. However, given the limited number of reviews, merchants should proceed with caution and thoroughly test its functionality within their store.
On the other hand, if the merchant's focus is on improving overall site navigation, particularly for stores with long product descriptions, blog posts, or other content-heavy pages, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the more suitable option. Its higher number of reviews suggests greater reliability. For merchants using older themes without native scroll-to-top functionality, this app offers a simple and effective solution to enhance user experience.
