Advanced Voice Mail vs Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Supportfor Shopify (2026)
Advanced Voice Mail and Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Support are both Shopify apps categorized under 'Support - Other', but they offer fundamentally different solutions. Advanced Voice Mail focuses on providing a simple voicemail system, allowing customers to leave voice messages for the merchant. Its primary strength lies in its ease of use and quick setup, requiring no template customization. The target audience appears to be smaller merchants who want a basic way for customers to provide feedback or ask questions via voice. Ringly.io, on the other hand, is a much more sophisticated AI-powered phone support solution. It aims to automate order tracking, returns, and FAQ resolution, offering 24/7 support. Ringly.io is geared towards larger Shopify stores dealing with a high volume of phone inquiries (1,000+ monthly calls). Its strength is its ability to handle common customer service tasks automatically, freeing up human agents for more complex issues. The key difference is the level of automation and the target customer. Advanced Voice Mail is a manual system for collecting voicemails, while Ringly.io is an automated AI-driven support system. Ringly also offers analytics and call recordings, features not available with Advanced Voice Mail. Advanced Voice Mail's lack of reviews and zero rating raise concerns about its reliability and usability. Ringly.io, despite having only one review, boasts a perfect 5-star rating, suggesting a positive experience for its user. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs and scale of operations.

Our Verdict
For small Shopify stores looking for a simple and inexpensive way to collect customer feedback via voice, Advanced Voice Mail might be an option, although the lack of reviews and zero rating is concerning. For larger Shopify stores facing a high volume of customer service inquiries, Ringly.io ‑ AI Phone Support is the clear winner. Its AI-powered automation, 24/7 availability, and features like order tracking and returns processing can significantly improve customer service efficiency and reduce the workload on human agents. While it targets larger stores, the initial setup being fast and easy means it can quickly prove its value. Ringly.io is definitely the recommended choice for larger stores that can benefit from AI-powered support.
