AE: Order Editing & Upsell vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
AE: Order Editing & Upsell and MyGLS Professional both have perfect 5/5 ratings, but cater to vastly different needs within the 'Orders' category on Shopify. AE: Order Editing & Upsell focuses on enhancing the post-purchase customer experience and reducing operational overhead by enabling self-service order editing. This includes address validation, smart cancellations, and post-purchase upsells, aiming to reduce cancellations, returns, and support tickets while increasing AOV. It integrates with Shopify Flow for automation and also offers 3PL integration. MyGLS Professional, on the other hand, is a specialized shipping app primarily focused on merchants using GLS (General Logistics Systems), particularly within Eastern Europe. It offers unlimited GLS label printing, parcel shop integration (both on the cart page and at checkout), automated order status tracking, and solutions specific to certain countries like autofilling Romanian zip codes. This application emphasizes efficient and streamlined shipping operations using the GLS network and is a third party application. This app has no restrictions on the daily label creation and order tracking needs of the users. The fundamental difference lies in their core functionalities: one provides order editing and post-purchase upselling, while the other provides shipping label creation and parcel shop integration, specifically for GLS users.

Its focus on self-service order editing and integration with Shopify Flow makes it a powerful tool for streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience. However, if your primary need is efficient and unlimited GLS shipping label creation and parcel shop integration, especially if you're operating in Eastern Europe, then MyGLS Professional is the clear winner.
MyGLS Professional caters to a very specific niche, while AE: Order Editing & Upsell has broader appeal to a wider range of e-commerce stores. Therefore, the selection depends entirely on the merchant's shipping provider and their overall goal of improving the post-purchase process.
