Aegis ‑ Anti Copy & Blacklist vs Ongoing Disable Right Clickfor Shopify (2026)
Both Aegis ‑ Anti Copy & Blacklist and Ongoing Disable Right Click are Shopify apps in the 'Anti theft' category, both boasting a perfect 5/5 rating. However, Aegis has significantly fewer reviews (1) compared to Ongoing Disable Right Click (4). This indicates that while both appear effective based on limited user feedback, Ongoing Disable Right Click has a larger user base providing that positive feedback. Given the limited information available, it's challenging to definitively differentiate their feature sets beyond their names. Aegis likely provides broader anti-copying measures beyond just disabling right-click, while Ongoing Disable Right Click seems focused specifically on preventing right-click actions, a common method for copying images and text.

Our Verdict
Given the limited information and the equal rating, Ongoing Disable Right Click, with more reviews, offers a slightly stronger initial signal of effectiveness for its specific purpose of disabling right-click. If a merchant's primary concern is preventing basic right-click copying, Ongoing Disable Right Click is likely sufficient and potentially easier to use. However, if a merchant is deeply concerned about comprehensive content protection and is willing to potentially deal with a more complex setup, Aegis ‑ Anti Copy & Blacklist, assuming its name reflects its features, would be the better choice despite having fewer reviews. More research and potentially testing both apps are recommended due to the small number of reviews for both apps.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to install and configure?
Based on their names and assumed functionalities, Ongoing Disable Right Click is likely easier to install and configure due to its narrower focus.
Does Aegis ‑ Anti Copy & Blacklist offer more comprehensive protection than Ongoing Disable Right Click?
Potentially yes. Based on its name, Aegis likely provides broader protection against various content theft methods beyond just disabling right-click, but this is an assumption.
Which app is better if I'm only concerned about protecting images from being easily copied?
Ongoing Disable Right Click is likely sufficient for this purpose, as right-clicking is a common method for copying images.
Are there any known drawbacks to using apps that disable right-click?
Disabling right-click can slightly inconvenience users who legitimately use it for other purposes, like accessing browser developer tools. This is a minor trade-off for increased content protection.
How do I know which app is truly more effective?
Due to the small sample size of reviews, it is recommended to trial both apps (if free trials are offered) or contact the developers for more detailed information about their features and capabilities. Further, checking the reputation of the developers in the Shopify app ecosystem is prudent.
