Our Verdict
For merchants primarily seeking to establish or improve an affiliate or referral program, Affiliate Marketing ‑ Afflr is the stronger choice. Its focus and diverse payout options cater directly to this need. The claims of launching programs quickly are enticing.
However, if a merchant desires a more comprehensive and customizable loyalty program with tiered rewards, memberships, and detailed analytics, Toki Loyalty Program & Rewards is likely the better fit. Its feature set suggests a robust platform for building long-term customer relationships, assuming the merchant is willing to invest the time and potentially resources to manage its complexity. The free live support may also be a decisive factor for some merchants.
Common Questions
Which app offers better fraud protection?
Both apps advertise fraud protection. Afflr mentions built-in fraud protection, and Toki mentions fraud protection in the context of referrals, so it is not possible to determine with the information at hand which offers 'better' protection.
Can both apps integrate with other marketing tools?
Afflr specifically mentions integration with Klaviyo. Toki does not explicitly state integrations with other specific tools, but because of its 'all-in-one' nature and 'analytics', it will likely be the one that offers more external integration options, especially ones that focus on overall marketing strategy.
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
Afflr claims to launch programs 'in minutes', implying a simpler setup process. Toki, with its wider range of features, likely requires more configuration and management effort but offers free onboarding and support.
Which app provides more granular customer data?
Toki emphasizes 'detailed analytics showing engagement metrics, ROI and customer insights,' suggesting it provides more granular customer data compared to Afflr, which primarily focuses on tracking referral sales.
Which app is more suitable for small businesses with limited resources?
Afflr's focused approach and quick setup may be more appealing for small businesses with limited resources, enabling them to quickly establish an affiliate or referral program. However, Toki's free live support and onboarding could offset the complexity, and allow easier access to more powerful features.
