Afterpay On‑Site Messaging vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Afterpay On-Site Messaging focuses on promoting Afterpay's buy-now-pay-later service on your Shopify store to attract Millennial and Gen Z customers. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily targeting Millennial and Gen Z customers already comfortable with Afterpay, and wanting a seamless integration of Afterpay messaging, the Afterpay On-Site Messaging app might be a decent starting point, assuming its lower rating isn't a significant concern. However, the Partialy - Partial Payment COD app is a better choice for merchants who need more flexible payment options, including partial payments, deferred payments, BNPL, and especially COD. Its comprehensive COD rule system and higher rating suggest a more robust and versatile solution for a broader range of customers and payment scenarios. It is recommended to carefully scrutinize recent reviews to assess the accuracy of the ratings.
If a merchant requires the option to reduce RTO by offering deposits or COD, along with the ability to customize COD rules based on a variety of factors, Partialy is the clearly superior choice. If the primary goal is to increase conversions among Gen Z and Millennials using the Afterpay brand recognition and simple BNPL option, Afterpay On-Site Messaging could be considered but must be carefully evaluated against current reviews of the actual features.
