AfterShip Traffic & Ads vs Toki Loyalty Program & Rewardsfor Shopify (2026)
AfterShip Traffic & Ads and Toki Loyalty Program & Rewards cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem. AfterShip focuses on acquiring new customers through ad exchange, promising increased traffic and visibility via partnerships with similarly themed stores. It emphasizes ease of use and traffic quality, targeting merchants seeking to expand their reach without extensive marketing budgets or technical expertise. Toki, on the other hand, prioritizes customer retention and loyalty by offering a comprehensive loyalty program, incorporating features like points-based rewards, VIP tiers, referrals, and paid memberships. While both apps touch upon affiliate programs indirectly (referrals in Toki, partner stores in AfterShip), their core functionalities and value propositions are vastly different. AfterShip's strength lies in its traffic generation capabilities, making it attractive to merchants focused on acquiring new customers. Toki's strength is in fostering long-term relationships and increasing customer lifetime value. Therefore, the choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant's primary objective is customer acquisition or retention.

However, if your priority is to cultivate customer loyalty, increase customer lifetime value, and build a strong brand community, Toki Loyalty Program & Rewards is the better investment. Its comprehensive loyalty program, combined with VIP tiers and membership options, will help you retain customers and encourage repeat purchases.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific business needs and marketing strategy. Merchants could even consider using both apps in conjunction: AfterShip to drive initial traffic and Toki to convert those new customers into loyal, repeat buyers.
