(AG) Auto Gift Pro Freebies vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
(AG) Auto Gift Pro Freebies and Selling Point, while both listed under the 'Gifts' category on Shopify, cater to distinctly different merchant needs. (AG) Auto Gift Pro Freebies focuses on incentivizing purchases through automated free or discounted product offers triggered by preset rules and conditions. It aims to boost sales and potentially increase average order value by providing customers with value-added benefits. Its strength lies in its campaign management features, including scheduling, rule stacking, and targeted promotions via magic links. Selling Point, on the other hand, addresses the challenge of migrating or importing gift cards and store credits from other platforms onto Shopify. It streamlines the process of transitioning existing gift card programs to Shopify, saving merchants time and effort compared to manual migration or custom development. Selling Point's core value proposition is simplifying the migration of gift card and store credit data, particularly for merchants switching from other POS systems or e-commerce platforms. It also provides the ability to generate and send bulk gift cards for marketing campaigns. Therefore, these apps address different stages of the merchant lifecycle - one focusing on sales optimization through incentives, and the other on streamlining the onboarding process onto Shopify by simplifying the import of existing gift card balances.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to implement strategic promotional campaigns with free or discounted products based on specific rules and conditions, (AG) Auto Gift Pro Freebies is a viable option, though the limited number of reviews should be considered. However, if a merchant is primarily concerned with migrating existing gift card balances from another platform to Shopify, Selling Point is the clear choice. Its robust features for importing and managing gift cards, along with a significantly higher number of positive reviews, make it the more reliable and efficient solution for this specific need.
Ultimately, the decision hinges on the merchant's primary objective: sales incentives or gift card management. Merchants focused on leveraging promotions should consider (AG) Auto Gift Pro Freebies, acknowledging the limited review data, while those needing to transfer gift card data should strongly consider Selling Point.
