Age Verification by BlueCheck vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
Age Verification by BlueCheck and MyGLS Professional serve drastically different purposes for Shopify merchants. BlueCheck focuses on legal compliance, specifically age verification for restricted products, aiming to automate this process and integrate it seamlessly into the checkout experience. It targets merchants selling age-restricted goods like alcohol, tobacco, or cannabis, who need to meet regulatory requirements without disrupting their sales flow. MyGLS Professional, on the other hand, is a shipping solution that facilitates label creation and order tracking, primarily for merchants using GLS services in Eastern Europe. It emphasizes unlimited label printing and advanced parcel shop integration. The apps therefore cater to completely distinct segments of the Shopify ecosystem.

Our Verdict
The choice between Age Verification by BlueCheck and MyGLS Professional depends entirely on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If the merchant sells age-restricted products and requires a legally compliant age verification system, Age Verification by BlueCheck is the relevant app. However, given its low rating and limited reviews, the merchant should investigate thoroughly and consider alternatives. If the merchant uses GLS for shipping, especially in Eastern Europe, and needs an app to streamline label creation and offer advanced shipping features, MyGLS Professional is the appropriate choice. Its high rating and significant number of reviews suggest it's a reliable solution for that specific use case.
