AI Chatbot Search vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, comparing 'AI Chatbot Search' and 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' reveals stark differences. 'AI Chatbot Search' aims to enhance store search functionality with an AI chatbot, but its current state is reflected in its extremely low rating (1/5) and minimal reviews (1). This suggests potential issues with the app's functionality, usability, or support. Conversely, 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' focuses on improving site navigation by adding a scroll-to-top button and progress bar, receiving a perfect 5/5 rating from 30 reviews, indicating strong user satisfaction. This addresses a specific need, particularly for stores with long product pages or articles where ease of navigation is crucial. The critical distinction lies in their core functionalities and current user perception. 'AI Chatbot Search', in theory, targets merchants seeking advanced search capabilities, yet its execution, based on its rating and review count, seems problematic. 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' addresses a more fundamental usability concern – simplifying navigation. The app caters to merchants who want to enhance the user experience on longer pages by providing an easy way to return to the top, potentially increasing engagement and conversions. Given the advancements in web design by 2026, it's somewhat surprising a dedicated app is still needed for a scroll-to-top function, implying either theme limitations or the app's superior customization options.

Our Verdict
Given the available data, 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' is the clear recommendation for merchants specifically needing a customizable scroll-to-top button in 2026. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for improving user navigation on longer pages. The customization options provide additional value, even if some themes offer basic scroll-to-top functionality.
'AI Chatbot Search' should be approached with extreme caution. The extremely low rating and single review raise significant concerns about its functionality and reliability. Merchants considering this app should thoroughly investigate user feedback (beyond the single review) and potentially explore alternatives before committing, especially given the rapid advancement of AI-powered search solutions by 2026.

With only one review and a rating of 1/5, it suggests significant issues. Potential problems include buggy functionality, poor AI performance, inadequate customer support, or a misleading description.
Does every Shopify store need 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top'?
No. If your Shopify theme already includes a functional and customizable scroll-to-top button, or if your store doesn't have long pages, this app may be unnecessary.
Is 'AI Chatbot Search' truly AI-powered, or is it just keyword search?

Can 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' conflict with my existing Shopify theme?
It's possible, but unlikely. The app is designed to add functionality. However, ensure compatibility by checking the app's documentation and testing it thoroughly after installation to avoid conflicts.
Assuming both apps are technically sound, who are the ideal users?
'AI Chatbot Search' would ideally suit larger stores with complex product catalogs that require more nuanced search capabilities. 'RT: Smooth Scroll To Top' is ideal for stores selling products that require detailed descriptions and long product pages, or stores with extensive blog content.
