Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
AI Search & Product Filter |SB might require more initial configuration to leverage AI features. Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch depends largely on the data already in its database or ease of importing your own YMM records. This means setup difficulty will largely depend on the nature of your product catalog.
Can I use both apps simultaneously on my store?
While technically possible, it's generally not recommended. The functionalities overlap, potentially confusing customers and creating conflicts. Choose the app that best aligns with your primary product type and search needs.
Does AI Search & Product Filter |SB support searching by Year Make Model?
While AI Search & Product Filter |SB has advanced filtering capabilities using metafields, it is not specifically designed or optimized for Year Make Model searches. Year Make Model - EasySearch has a prebuilt Year Make Model database for automotive parts and is therefore better suited for this type of search.
What if I sell a mix of products, some requiring fitment and others not?
Assess the proportion of products requiring fitment. If fitment is critical for a significant portion, Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch might be worth considering even for the entire catalog. Alternatively, use AI Search & Product Filter |SB with detailed product descriptions and tags to convey fitment information for relevant products.
Are there any specific integrations I should consider before choosing?
Neither app description mentions specific integrations, but research each app's documentation for compatibility with your existing theme, page builders, or other critical apps. Check if 'AI Search & Product Filter' integrates with your reviews platform. In the case of 'Year Make Model - EasySearch', check if it integrates with data services that provide regularly updated YMM databases.
