Alerty: Alerts for Google Chat vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Alerty: Alerts for Google Chat and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications both aim to improve Shopify merchant responsiveness by delivering real-time notifications. Alerty focuses solely on sending order and abandoned cart notifications to Google Chat, emphasizing simplicity and flexibility with unlimited Google Chat space support. Ting, on the other hand, provides a broader feature set integrated with Slack, including rule-based notifications, order reports, multiple Slack channel support, and customizable notification data. While Alerty targets merchants who primarily use Google Chat and need basic order and abandoned cart alerts across multiple stores, Ting appeals to those using Slack for team communication who desire comprehensive order management features and insights. Ting's higher rating and customer reviews suggest a more mature and feature-rich offering. A key differentiator is Ting's reporting capabilities, offering daily, weekly, and monthly order statistics, a feature absent in Alerty. Ting also prioritizes customizable notifications, fitting the needs of merchants who want to see very specific data in alerts.

Our Verdict
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is generally the stronger recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its 5-star rating with 13 reviews signals a better user experience and more reliable performance than Alerty, which lacks any user feedback. Ting's additional features, such as order reports and rule-based notifications, offer significant value beyond simple order alerts.
However, Alerty: Alerts for Google Chat could be a viable option for merchants exclusively using Google Chat and seeking only basic order/abandoned cart notifications. Specifically, a merchant that has no presence on Slack would find no benefit from Ting. But in the absence of any data showcasing Alerty’s performance or reliability, Ting is the safer, more feature-rich choice.
