Our Verdict
For merchants who need absolute control over their image alt text and prefer a hands-on approach, AltMate: Bulk Alt Text Editor might be a suitable choice. However, the lack of reviews and ratings raises a red flag. Sherpas: Smart SEO is a far more comprehensive solution that leverages AI to automate and simplify SEO. The high rating and large number of reviews suggest it's a reliable and effective tool. For most merchants, especially those less comfortable with the technical aspects of SEO, Sherpas: Smart SEO is likely the better option. The breadth of features and automation capabilities offers a more complete SEO solution.
