AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Insureful: Shipping Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants considering upsell and cross-sell apps face the choice between AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Insureful: Shipping Protection. While both boast perfect 5/5 ratings, AMP has significantly more reviews (489 vs. 30), indicating wider adoption and potentially more community support. AMP focuses on optimizing the shopping cart experience with a slide-out drawer, typically aimed at improving conversion rates and average order value by highlighting cart contents and encouraging further purchases. Insureful, on the other hand, provides shipping protection insurance, aiming to boost customer trust and revenue by mitigating risk associated with lost, damaged, or stolen packages. Insureful's strength lies in offering customizable insurance plans (fixed or percentage-based) with multi-language and multi-currency support, automating order tagging and claim fulfillment. This caters to merchants seeking to offload shipping risk and provide a value-added service. AMP's appeal is in a more immediate UI/UX improvement, likely requiring less setup and ongoing management than a shipping insurance program. Insureful also mentions use as a warranty feature, so it may be suitable to merchants selling high-value items. The apps target different parts of the sales funnel and offer distinct value propositions: cart optimization vs. risk mitigation.
