Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the more suitable choice, especially those without apparel. The higher number of reviews indicates a tested and likely reliable solution for boosting sales through enhanced cart functionality. It is suited to all Shopify businesses looking to increase average order value.
However, for fashion brands seeking a cutting-edge solution to reduce returns and provide a personalized shopping experience, OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on is the clear choice. The feature set directly addresses pain points specific to the apparel industry. Although the review count is low, the specialized nature of the app makes it a viable option for those within its target niche, assuming the AI-based try-on is executed well and delivers on its promises.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both claim ease of use; however, based on the general category of apps and the 'one-click integration' advertising of OnYou, both should be easy to install. However, OnYou might require extra setup for the AI portion.
Which app offers a free trial?
This information is not provided and would need to be verified on the Shopify App Store.
Which app is more likely to have long-term support and updates?

Can both apps be used together?
Potentially. A merchant could use AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer for general upsells and cross-sells in the cart, while using OnYou for virtual try-ons on product pages. There might be conflicts in the user experience, but technically, it might be possible.
Which app is better for a clothing store that sells accessories (e.g., hats, scarves) instead of apparel?
