AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs OrderArmor Shipping Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and OrderArmor Shipping Protection are both Shopify apps targeting increased revenue, but they achieve this through different mechanisms. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer focuses on improving the shopping experience and encouraging larger orders with a dynamic cart, whereas OrderArmor Shipping Protection aims to generate revenue directly through shipping protection premiums and reduce losses from damaged, lost, or stolen goods. The primary difference lies in their core function: AMP enhances the cart experience, while OrderArmor offers a shipping protection program. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer, with its significantly higher number of positive reviews (489) and perfect 5/5 rating, likely has a broader appeal and a more established user base. OrderArmor Shipping Protection, while having a slightly lower rating (4.5/5) based on fewer reviews (11), targets a specific need: allowing merchants to manage their own shipping protection program and retain all associated profits. This approach may be particularly attractive to merchants seeking greater control over their shipping policies and potential revenue streams. Both apps utilize upsells, but in different contexts: AMP upselling within the cart, and OrderArmor upselling order protection as a digital product.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants looking to generally improve their store's shopping experience and boost average order value, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is likely the safer bet, given its high rating and large number of positive reviews. Its broad appeal makes it suitable for a wide range of businesses.
However, OrderArmor Shipping Protection offers a more targeted solution for merchants specifically struggling with shipping losses or those who desire complete control over their shipping protection policy and the revenue it generates. While it has fewer reviews, the app allows merchants to keep all the protection fees and directly manage claims, a feature that differentiates it significantly. If shipping protection is a major concern, OrderArmor warrants a closer look despite the lower review count.
