AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell both operate within the Upsell and Cross-sell categories on Shopify, but they serve distinct purposes and target different merchant needs. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer, judging by its name, likely focuses on enhancing the cart experience with a slide-out cart drawer, potentially offering features like upsells and cross-sells within the cart itself. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews (489) suggest it's a well-established and widely used app, indicating a generally positive user experience and reliable performance related to cart functionality. SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell, on the other hand, appears to provide tools for editing existing orders and implementing post-purchase upsell strategies. The significantly lower number of reviews (4), despite its perfect rating, suggests it may be a newer app or cater to a more niche market. While both apps aim to increase revenue through upsells and cross-sells, AMP's focus seems to be on pre-checkout enhancements while SelfDesk targets post-purchase and order management functionality. Choosing between the two will depend heavily on whether a merchant's priority is enhancing the cart experience or managing/modifying orders and offering upsells after the initial purchase. In 2026, assuming that the review count disparities remain similar, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer benefits from social proof provided by a large, happy user base. SelfDesk's benefit is that it enables post-order adjustments which AMP most likely does not provide.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing the pre-checkout experience and offering seamless in-cart upsells, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the more established and likely the better choice, due to the significant volume of positive reviews. Its focus on cart enhancement suggests a streamlined implementation and direct impact on immediate conversions.
However, merchants who require the ability to edit orders after they've been placed or who want to focus on post-purchase upsell strategies should consider SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell. While it lacks the social proof of AMP, its unique feature set provides functionality not typically found in standard cart enhancement apps. Given the few reviews, it's crucial to conduct thorough testing and ensure it integrates smoothly with the existing Shopify setup. For many, AMP is likely a safer choice based on the massive review difference.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Both apps aim to increase AOV through upsells and cross-sells. AMP focuses on pre-checkout, encouraging customers to add more items to their cart before completing the purchase. SelfDesk focuses on post-purchase opportunities, allowing merchants to suggest additional products after the initial order is placed. Therefore, the better app depends on the merchant's preference for pre- or post-purchase upselling.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the higher number of reviews and cart-centric function, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is probably easier to set up. It's likely a more straightforward integration focused on enhancing the existing cart. SelfDesk, with its order editing capabilities, might require a more complex configuration to integrate with order management systems and ensure data accuracy.
Does AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer allow customers to edit their orders after they've been placed?
Based on the available information, it is unlikely. The app's primary focus appears to be on cart enhancement and pre-checkout upsells, not order management.
Is SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell suitable for high-volume stores?
While SelfDesk's features may be valuable for high-volume stores needing order adjustments, the low number of reviews suggests it might not have been tested extensively at scale. High-volume stores should carefully evaluate its performance and scalability before committing to the app.
What are the key differentiating features between AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell?
The key differentiating feature is SelfDesk's ability to edit orders after they have been placed. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer appears focused solely on cart enhancement and pre-checkout upselling, whereas SelfDesk provides post-purchase order modification and upselling opportunities.
