AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Smind Section: Theme Sectionsfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Smind Section: Theme Sections both aim to enhance the Shopify customer experience, but target different aspects of store design and functionality. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer focuses specifically on improving the cart experience with a slide-out cart drawer, likely enhancing the upsell and cross-sell potential within that limited scope. Smind, on the other hand, provides a much broader range of customization options through pre-designed sections and templates, allowing merchants to overhaul their entire store design without coding knowledge or hiring designers. While both apps fall under the 'Upsell and cross-sell' category, their approaches differ significantly. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer probably integrates upsells directly into the cart drawer. Smind can support upsells by allowing the creation of custom landing pages and product pages. The choice between these apps hinges on whether a merchant wants to specifically improve the cart experience with a single feature (AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer) or implement broader design and customization changes across their entire store (Smind). AMP Slide Cart Drawer targets merchants wanting a quick cart-focused improvement while Smind targets those needing significant design control. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer's higher rating and significantly larger number of reviews suggest strong satisfaction among a larger user base, but it's critical to consider whether those needs align with the specific requirements of an individual merchant.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing the shopping cart experience to drive sales via upsells and a smoother checkout flow, AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer is the better choice, particularly given its higher rating and significant number of positive reviews. It's a focused solution designed for a specific purpose.
However, if a merchant needs to overhaul their entire store design, create custom pages, and implement diverse layouts without hiring developers or learning to code, Smind Section: Theme Sections is the clear winner. While it has fewer reviews, its description highlights its ability to unlock complete creative freedom within the theme editor. The lower rating could be due to the complexity of a broader tool, not necessarily a poorer implementation. Smind's key advantage is its ability to build and customize all page types.
