ANG ‑ Photo Gallery vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
ANG ‑ Photo Gallery and Sherpas: Smart SEO, while sharing the 'Images and media' category on Shopify, cater to fundamentally different needs. ANG ‑ Photo Gallery focuses on enhancing the visual appeal of a Shopify store by enabling merchants to create and customize stunning photo galleries. Its strength lies in its customization options, mobile-first responsiveness, and the ability to tag products within photos, driving sales through visual merchandising. It's targeted at merchants who want to showcase their products or brand aesthetic through curated photo collections. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, is an SEO powerhouse aimed at improving a store's search engine ranking and driving organic traffic. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on improving their store's visual appeal and showcasing products through curated photo galleries, ANG ‑ Photo Gallery is the more suitable choice. Its customization options and ability to tag products make it ideal for visually driven brands. However, the extremely low review count raises concerns about reliability and support.
Conversely, if the priority is to enhance SEO performance, improve search engine rankings, and drive organic traffic, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the clear winner. Its extensive feature set, AI-powered optimization, and high number of positive reviews indicate a robust and reliable solution for SEO management. Even though both operate with images, their function is fundamentally different, making them applicable for different purposes, but also potentially complementary.
