Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily reliant on Australia Post MyPost Business, EZLabel: Australia Post Ship is the clear winner. Its automation of shipping label creation, fulfillment, and tracking significantly streamlines the shipping process, saving time and reducing errors. The high number of positive reviews (459) lends considerable confidence in its functionality and reliability.
Conversely, if a merchant utilizes multiple shipping carriers or requires a more general solution for updating tracking numbers in bulk, AOD‑ Order Tracking No. Update is a more suitable option. While it has significantly fewer reviews (2), its CSV import functionality provides flexibility in managing tracking data from diverse sources. However, merchants should proceed with caution given the minimal review count, and carefully vet the app's support and reliability before committing.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Both apps claim to be easy to use. EZLabel highlights a "two-click" process for label printing, fulfillment, and tracking, suggesting a high degree of automation. AOD emphasizes simplicity in its description, but relies on manual CSV file manipulation, which might be more complex for some users.
Which app is better for international shipping?
EZLabel explicitly supports international shipping through Australia Post's standard and express options. AOD does not specify support for international shipping; its functionality is centered on importing tracking numbers, regardless of shipping origin or destination, so may depend on the selected carrier.
Which app is more suitable for high-volume order processing?
AOD appears to be geared toward high-volume order processing due to its bulk CSV import capability. EZLabel, while efficient, is designed for automating the process around *each* Australia Post order, it doesn't provide a direct bulk uploading option to import existing tracking numbers from another source.
What if I want to use a thermal label printer?
EZLabel explicitly supports thermal label printers, making it ideal for merchants who prioritize efficiency and label quality. AOD doesn't mention label printing capabilities.
Is AOD more configurable than EZLabel?
Based on the provided descriptions, AOD is likely *more* configurable in terms of handling tracking data from diverse sources and using various carriers, as it utilizes a CSV import method. However, EZLabel provides configuration options specific to Australia Post, such as custom packaging, signature on delivery and extra cover.
